This is a TEdit issue, indeed. TEdit does not support modded tile with metadata / container logic. Sometimes it messes even up with Magic Storage (very rarely), but annihilates placed "vanilla like looking" chests from others mods entirely. I read in the TShock changelogs that the command for world difficulty is now: /worldmode <mode>. PLEASE make a backup of your world before using the program. Hope it works for you too, have fun!
